WHAT WILL YOU FIND IN THIS STEP-BY-STEP POINT OF VIEW UNIT?

1. SCRIPTED LESSON PLANS: Take the guesswork out of what to say when teaching. These plans include what to say, how to teach each lesson, and how long to spend on each lesson.

2. ANCHOR CHARTS: There are two to choose from for differentiation. One with and one without 3rd-person limited and omniscient.

3. DIFFERENTIATED PASSAGES: For each of the 4 high-interest reading passages, there are THREE VERSIONS FOR DIFFERENTIATION. (Grade levels 3-6)

7. ACTIVITY: There is an activity to do with a whole group to get student up and moving.

8. NOTICE, THINK, WONDER: This critical thinking activity has 4 photographs (and a blank one to add your own) to introduce and analyze point of view.

9. PRACTICE- WORKSHEETS: There are 3 worksheet-style pages to identify and apply point of view.

10. PRACTICE- TASK CARDS: There are 24 task cards perfect for centers.

11. PRACTICE- PASSAGES: There are 3 differentiated passages with comprehension questions (as mentioned in #3 above). Two of them include two passages to compare and contrast the point of view in each. Use one for whole group, one for small group, and one for independent work.

12. WRITING PROMPTS: There are 16 prompt cards that are great for morning work, homework, and centers.

13. BOOK RESPONSE: There are 8 different kinds of response pages/ graphic organizers that can be used with your choice of books.

14. ASSESSMENT: Assess students on their knowledge. There are differentiated paired passages to compare and contrast the point of view with comprehension questions. (as mentioned in #3 above)

15. TRACKING: Write student names in the form. Record scores from a practice

page and assessment. Use this for future purposes in creating small group

instruction.

ANSWER KEYS ARE INCLUDED

DIGITAL VERSION: It has PowerPoint or Google Slides for the everything except the task cards. The task cards come in Google Forms.
