How are they designed?
They are designed in a scaffolding order and have directions for students to take notes AND write examples. For narrative writing, opinion writing, and informative writing, provide students with a prompt to follow the step-by-step order. Students will take notes on the skill, then add that skill to their writing. Most of their examples from the prompt will be added on the interactive page prior to putting them on a graphic organizer or a rough draft. This file is interactive pages only. Anchor charts, graphic organizers, prompts, practice, task cards, modeling, etc are included in the grade-level bundles.
How are the pages differentiated?
There are two differentiated versions of each interactive page.
Version 1: ALL NOTES ARE INCLUDED ON THE PAGE. STUDENTS ADD EXAMPLES FOR THEIR OWN STORIES- This can be used to show students what notes belong on the page, for students who have trouble taking notes, or for absent students.
Version 2: NOTES ON THE PAGE ARE WRITTEN IN SENTENCE FRAMES AND STUDENTS ADD EXAMPLES TO THEIR OWN STORIES- Students fill-in-the-blanks.

Repeated Pages- You will see some of the interactive pages repeated (or tweaked) in each type of writing. If it was introduced in a prior type of writing, it is still important to review the skill again to follow the writing process. I kept them in each type of writing, so you will have a complete flow of scaffolded pages for that particular type of writing.
